Privacy policy

This policy describes how PileZero ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use pilezero.com and the PileZero application (together, the "Service").
What we collect
- Account information — your email address and authentication credentials when you create an account.
- Photos you upload — images of items you submit for listing generation.
- Listing drafts — titles, item specifics, descriptions, prices, and other listing content generated by the Service or edited by you.
- eBay account connection — when you connect your eBay account, we store OAuth tokens that let us publish listings on your behalf. We never see or store your eBay password.
- Usage analytics — how you use the Service (pages visited, features used, approximate device and browser information) so we can improve it.
- Billing information — payment details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by us. We keep records of your plan and payment status.
How we use it
- To provide the Service: generating listing drafts from your photos, running the review queue, and publishing approved listings to eBay.
- To operate your account: authentication, plan limits, billing, and support.
- To communicate with you about the Service, including transactional email and, if you opt in, product updates.
- To improve the Service through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos or listings to advertise to you.
Third parties we rely on
We share data with service providers only as needed to run the Service:
- Convex — application database and backend hosting (account data, listing drafts, photo storage references).
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, security, and transactional email delivery.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- OpenRouter — AI model routing used to generate listing drafts from your photos. Photos and item context are sent to AI providers to produce drafts and are not used to train their models under our agreements.
- eBay — when you publish, listing content and your account authorization are sent to eBay under their terms and privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
- We keep your data while your account is active.
- Deleting your account removes your photos, listing drafts, and personal information from our systems, except minimal records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes.
- We honor eBay's Marketplace Account Deletion notifications: when eBay tells us a user has deleted their eBay account, we delete the associated eBay data we hold.
- You can disconnect your eBay account at any time, which revokes and deletes the stored OAuth tokens.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage of OAuth tokens, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by contacting us.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
